Palawan Jewels Learning Center adopts an “open admission-selective retention” policy. It accepts pupils from all walks of life without prejudice to race, religion, ethnicity, or gender. Parents who seek admission for their children in the school must signify that they are in agreement with the policies, rules, regulations, and standards of the school.
Use of Electronic Gadgets: The use of electronic gadgets such as smartphones, iPods, iPads, and other similar devices in school is strictly prohibited. A violation of this rule can lead to disciplinary action and confiscation of the said prohibited devices. Pupils who will bring laptops and similar devices for use associated with classwork may do so with prior approval by the Class Adviser or concerned teacher. It is understood that parental consent has been granted to children if and when the pupil brings any of these devices to school for the purpose herein stated.
Homework/Assignment: Homework is an extension of the learning that takes place in school. It provides practice that reinforces classroom learning, and can provide opportunities for independent studies, research, and creative thinking. Assignments are expected to be done at home. However, pupils may finish their assignments in the classroom should time permit for them to do so.
Promotion and Retention: A pupil must have a general average of 75% or higher to be promoted to the next grade level. A pupil who has performed poorly during the school year and whose general average is below 75% will be automatically retained. This pupil may attend summer tutorial and remedial classes.
