A new chapter in the educational program of Palawan Jewels Learning Center has arrived. For the past four years, the school and parents have been thinking how to expand the reach of the pupils’ exposure to musical arts. The wait is long over!

Starting the school year 2017-2018, Puerto Princesa Music Studio, the community music school of Palawan Jewels Learning Center, will open to provide early music education and training to young pupils desirous to learn music and different musical instruments.

Young pupils and parents, excited to see the start of PJLC's community music school

PJLC pupils and parents are excited to hear that music classes will be offered by the school when the school year 2017-2018 opens. At least fifty parents responded positively when asked if they will enrol their child should PJLC decide to offer music lessons in a preliminary survey conducted during the meeting with parents in November last year. This response is a strong indication that there is a demand on the part of parents to offer musical training to their children while at PJLC.

Palawan Jewels Children's Choir to be organized

Children singing, their voices angelic. Soon, this will become a common scene at PJLC as the school plans to organize a children’s choir. At least thirty pupils will be accepted into this program after they shall have passed the screening, interview, and audition. The choir will showcase the musical talents of pupils and also serve as its promotion arm. Anyone who is interested to become a choir member is encouraged to prepare for the screening process which will take place in the Third Week of June. The venue and time for the interview and audition will be announced later.

    March 9, 2017
    April 3, 2017 is the start of enrollment for school year 2017-2018. Summer tutorials will also start on this day. Make arrangement with PJLC concerning summer tutorials before this date.
