Like any thing in life, learning new stuffs presents a difficulty but it is not insurmountable. Music can be learned in a fun and enjoyable way. Many musicians have encountered challenges along the way but for every determined effort they have exerted to learn and acquire musical skills came the reward which is most satisfying. It can be said that musicians learn to play music and the moment they play to learn music.
No, it does not, for as long as a schedule for study and practice is faithfully observed by both the parents and the child. It is important that parents support their child in a loving way as they learn their assigned music daily. The child needs learn his music in a disciplined manner in order to save precious time that may otherwise be used in studying their other school lessons.
It depends on your child's interest and preference. However, due to limitations of available musical instruments for little children, usually they start off with piano or violin. Others who are more keen to learn other instruments do so as they grow older when their bodies can already handle the demands of a particular music instrument.
There is not one single rule to follow concerning this matter. Different instruments such as wind and brass have different starting points which take into consideration the physical development of the child. For piano and stringed instruments (that come in various sizes), the child may start at the age of five.
