The recital featured pupils ranging from Kindergarten to Grade 8, each performing a piece that reflected both their discipline and enthusiasm for music. Family members and friends filled the venue, their smiles and applause affirming the hard work and dedication of the young performers.
Two-Part Celebration of Music. The afternoon’s event was divided into two sessions: Program A and Program B.
Program A (1:00–2:30 PM) highlighted the violinists who were joined by four piano pupils. The performances included classical and folk pieces such as Gavotte by Martini, Minuet 3 by Bach, and Perpetual Motion by Suzuki. Young talents like Shiloh Jhudiel Silva, Zaremm Alizer Hitosis, Princess Jane Arnold Rongo, and Theoz Luke Monroid captivated the audience with their expressive bowing and confident stage presence.
Meanwhile, some pupils showcased dual talents—Maria Elizea Carbonel, for instance, performed both on violin and piano, delighting listeners with familiar tunes like Mary Had a Little Lamb and God Is So Good. Jewel Macmac played impressively at the keyboard Jesus Loves Me, Allegretto 1, and Lonely Goatherd.
Other recitalists in Program A were Jaela Nicole Tanay (Minuet 3-Bach); Johanna Caeli Yap (Go Tell-Suzuki and May Song-Suzuki); Theou Dave Pagtacunan (Allegro-Suzuki and May Song-Folk Song); Theou Clay Pagtacunan (Minuet-Bach); Xerxia Ariah Agustin (Berceuse, Allegretto 2, Joyful, Joyful, and Musette).
Program A concluded with a beautiful rendition of the song "Silent Night" by selected violinists who were accompanied at the guitar by Rex Diamante.
On the other hand, Program B (3:30–5:00 PM) followed with a lively presentation from the piano pupils. Each performer, from beginners to more advanced students, played with grace and heart. Highlights included Sebastian Miguel Azarraga’s rendition of O How I Love Jesus, Zui Uziel Antonio’s Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee and Turkey in the Straw, and Eliah Uel Warez’s elegant Ecossaise.
Other recitalists who were equally impressive in their performance were: Arfhil James Mallari (God is so Good); Kio Danzo Endrenal (God is so Good, Joyful); Janah Deor Obsanga (Mary Had a Little Lamb, In My Life, God is So Good); Jared Drey Obsanga (God is So Good, Twinkle, Praise Him, Petit Valse); Mabree Bianca Bianan (Lightly Row, Jesus Loves Me, Mary Had a Little Lamb); Patricia Hope Gevela (Sek Ye First, In My Life); Samantha Salido (Theme, Give Thanks); Kaytlyn Aria Salido (Cradle Song); Evitha Stevens (Piano/Voice: Twinkle, God is So Good, Mary Had a Little Lamb); and Zaine Sky Moreño (French Children's Song, O How I Love Jesus).
For some participants, it was their first time performing before an audience—a milestone met with both nerves and triumph.
Music, Memories, and Milestones
Parents and guests were visibly moved as they watched the young musicians perform. For some, it was a proud reminder of countless hours of practice at home; for others, it was the beginning of what could be a lifelong passion. “The recital wasn’t just about playing notes—it was about confidence, discipline, and expression,” said Dr. Diamante in his welcome remarks, who thanked the parents for their continued support and the pupils for their dedication. “Each child who played today brought something beautiful and unique to the stage.”
As the final notes faded and applause filled the room, the recital ended on a high note—with smiles, photo-taking, and heartfelt congratulations all around.
