PJLC Stands with Cebu: Student Donation Drive Raises ₱10,503 for Red Cross

In a heartfelt show of solidarity, Palawan Jewels Learning Center (PJLC) successfully concluded its 2025 Cash Donation Drive, extending support to families in Cebu affected by the recent Magnitude 6.9 earthquake.

The initiative was led by the Student Association (SA) officers, under the guidance of SA Advisers Sir Karl Nico C. Orlac and Ma’am Cecile F. Aragon, and supported by the entire PJLC academic team.

Through the collective efforts of students from Kinder 1 to Grade 6, a total of ₱10,503 was raised, carefully counted, and verified by the SA officers and class representatives. The donation was formally turned over to the Philippine Red Cross on Friday, October 17, where it was gratefully received. The Red Cross confirmed that the funds will directly aid Cebu-based families affected by the disaster.

This initiative reflects PJLC’s enduring commitment to compassion, unity, and service. More than just a school, PJLC continues to nurture a community where young learners grow not only in knowledge, but also in empathy and responsibility toward others.

  • Music Recital
    September 28, 2025
    PJLC Community Music School recital will be held on October 19, 2025. Venue: Room 6. Time: 1:00PM. Music lessons for Term B will start on November 9, 2025 and end on March 15, 2026. Music lessons in piano, guitar, and violin are available to pupils of PJLC and young children who come from other schools.
  • No classes in all levels at PJLC
    September 21, 2025
    Classes in parts of Luzon, Palawan included, are suspended on Monday/September 22 due to the expected effects of Super Typhoon Nando. In view of this, there will be no classes in all levels at Palawan Jewels Learning Center on the said date. Stay safe, Everyone!
